David Briggs ~ Festival Founder and Creative Director

David Briggs founded the Deep Cut Film Festival and is thrilled to bring it back for 2025. He is a filmmaker himself, and recently premiered his second feature, Sleepwalking. Briggs loves the indie film scene, which is why Deep Cut has such a special place in his heart. He also founded and ran the long-running Northern Frights Festival, Northern Ontario's first horror film festival.

Tiffany Blom ~ Programming Director 

Tiffany Blom has been essential to Deep Cut for many years, and the Northern Frights Festival as well. She's watched hundreds of hours of films for both fests, and always picks the greatest of the batch. In 2025 she became Programming Director for Deep Cut, and it's great having her on board!

Tiffany is an actor, writer, filmmaker, and all-around creative talent. Word is she splits her time between Toronto and some farm somewhere in the south.

Current Season

Big thanks to Kelsey Haughian and Natasha Renaud for helping us launch this year's fest! Both are represented by Models International Management in Ottawa, and we shot these photos in early October at MIM's head office. They were great hosts, so thanks again!

2023 / 2024 Season

We're so grateful to Emma, Genevieve, and Gisele, all represented by AMTI models, for taking part in an awesome photo shoot to help re-launch the festival. We had a great time in Ottawa, and we're so thankful you took the time to help the fest. Amazing talents!
